Missouri nonprofit celebrates decade battling human trafficking

(Missouri News Service) – A St. Louis–based nonprofit is commemorating 10 years of work combating Missouri’s persistent human trafficking problem.

Missouri continues to rank among the most affected states nationwide, with more than 2,200 reported cases and over 4,000 identified victims submitted to the National Human Trafficking Hotline since 2007.

The Healing Action Network, a nonprofit dedicated to survivor support, focuses on helping victims rebuild their lives, training professionals to recognize trafficking indicators, and advocating for stronger legal safeguards throughout the state…
