Suspect photos released after man picking up food struck by stray gunfire on Washington Avenue

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police released photos of three suspects involved in a shooting that injured a bystander early Wednesday in St. Louis.

Police said the shooting happened at around 1 a.m. at Pop’s Kitchen Downtown on the 1300 block of Washington Avenue. Video from the scene showed a man being loaded into an ambulance. He was expected to survive.

Maj. Janice Bockstruck said they believe a group was arguing outside a hookah lounge next to the restaurant and the three suspects then got into a dark SUV. While the man was trying to avoid the group, the SUV drove down the street and opened fire. The man walking to the restaurant was the only one struck by gunfire, police said…
