Arnold Police arrest two for allegedly stealing U-Haul truck

Arnold Police arrested a man and woman, both from St. Louis, after they arrived at a gas station in a U-Haul truck that was reported stolen in Chicago. The woman also allegedly had a substance suspected of being methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her purse, police reported.

An officer on Oct. 6 saw a 2017 Ford F-650 parked outside the QuikTrip gas station, 1069 Jeffco Blvd. The Chicago Police Department had reported the truck as stolen, but it was not known when or where the truck was stolen, the report said.

A 44-year-old St. Louis man was sitting in the driver’s seat when police arrived. He was arrested, and officers discovered he was wanted by O’Fallon Police and North County Police Cooperative on active warrants, according to the report…
