ST. LOUIS – Cable giant Charter Communications is laying off 1,200 employees nationwide, including some employees in St. Louis, according to several reports.
The layoffs include around 1 percent of Charter’s workforce and are intended to streamline operations, according to Reuters.
The layoffs will reportedly impact corporate management positions in several U.S. cities, but not sales or service positions. The layoffs impact Charter staffing in St. Louis, Denver, Charlotte and Stamford, Connecticut, according to the Los Angeles Times.
