Vehicles damaged in overnight car lot fire in south St. Louis, no injuries reported

ST. LOUIS – A set of vehicles were damaged overnight Friday after a fire in a used car lot in south St. Louis.

The fire broke out around 12:40 a.m. in the parking lot of South Side Auto Credit and Sales, located on the 3600 block of Morgan Ford Road in the city’s Tower Grove South neighborhood.

According to officials, the fire appeared to have started in the engine compartment of one of the vehicles in the lot then spread to others. At least nine vehicles were impacted in the fire, including some sustaining significant damage.

No foul play is suspected at this point and no injuries have been reported from the fire, officials said…
