FERGUSON, Mo. — The former Ferguson-Florissant School District superintendent, who was ousted after being sued for sexual harassment, is now suing the district for discrimination.
Joseph Davis, a Black man who had been at the district for 10 years, was put on leave by the district’s board during a special closed meeting in January after two former principals at Florissant schools accused him of sexual harassment. The lawsuits were filed by Frank Williams, the former principal at McCluer North High School in Florissant, and Cedric Gerald, the former principal at McCluer High School in Florissant.
Davis’s new lawsuit against the district accused officials of knowing that the principals’ allegations were false and removing him anyway. He alleged that the principals filed similar lawsuits in 2024, with Williams alleging sexual harassment and Gerald alleging disability discrimination based on mental health.
