A former news anchor has been charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed and killed her elderly mother.

Police responded to a “reported cutting” at a residence in Wichita, Kan., at about 7:52 a.m. local time on Friday, Oct. 31, per a media release shared on Facebook by the Sedgwick County Police Department (SCPD).

Upon arrival, police found a woman — who was later identified as 47-year-old Angelynn “Angie” Mock— standing outside the home. They then entered the residence and found Mock’s mother, Anita Avers, 80, “unresponsive in her bed with multiple stab wounds.”…
