ST. LOUIS — The Archdiocese of St. Louis is stepping in to feed families caught in the fallout of the federal government shutdown.
With SNAP benefits temporarily halted, more than 650,000 Missourians who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program could lose access to food support beginning Nov. 1. The sudden halt is leaving food pantries bracing for an influx of families in need.
