Man escapes hospital, steals wheelchair and heart monitor: Police

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man is facing a felony charge for allegedly stealing from a hospital after escaping almost two months ago.

According to officials, 35-year-old Clinton Robinson was staying at the SLU Hospital after being involved in a car accident. He was noted to be placed under supervision following an interview with detectives.

Robinson received a CAT scan during this stay. During that time, officials left the room. Afterwards, Robinson left to a restricted area with a wheelchair and a heart monitor attached.
