St. Louis man charged after Madison County stop turns up machine gun-converted handgun

EDWARDSVILLE — A St. Louis man was charged with possessing a handgun converted to an automatic weapon after a traffic stop by state troopers.

Justin R. Holland, 23, of St. Louis, was charged Nov. 3 with unlawful use of weapons — possession of a machine gun, a Class X felony; and aggravated unlawful possession of weapons and unlawful possession of cannabis, both Class 4 felonies.
