ST. LOUIS – Dozens of families lined up outside CareSTL Health Tuesday, not for a checkup, but for a hot meal and infant formula.
With SNAP and WIC benefits disrupted during the federal government shutdown, leaders say the need has never been greater. Organizers transformed the parking lot into a lifeline for struggling families, who waited patiently for a hot meal and a little hope.
