A Saint Louis man was killed early Thursday morning when he was struck by a car on Interstate 270 east of West Florissant Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. when a 2015 Toyota Corolla traveling eastbound swerved to avoid a stalled 2012 Chevrolet Malibu that was blocking the fifth lane of traffic. The patrol reported that the driver of the Malibu, a 26-year-old man from Saint Louis, was outside of his vehicle, standing in the driver’s doorway at the time of the collision.
The front right side of the Corolla struck both the man and the driver’s door of the Malibu. The man was transported by Christian Hospital EMS to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, where he was pronounced dead at 6:17 a.m. by Dr. Montes…
