The St. Louis City Justice Center is under investigation following the death of a detainee, 54-year-old James Earl Johnson. On Tuesday evening, first responders were called to the facility after Johnson was found experiencing a medical emergency. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
