Man found guilty of attempted armed robbery at downtown St. Louis MetroLink station

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A man was found guilty of a 2024 attempted armed robbery at the Laclede’s Landing MetroLink station in downtown St. Louis.

On Thursday, a St. Louis judge found Marvin Young, Jr. guilty of first-degree attempted robbery, armed criminal action, third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Prosecutors said Young approached a man as he exited the MetroLink station on May 1, 2024, and took his phone but dropped it. He then reportedly grabbed the victim’s bag and, when he refused to let go, forced the man toward a stairwell. At the bottom of the stairs, Young pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded his property, but the victim was able to run off…
