CALHOUN COUNTY, Ill — A Sunday morning hunt near the confluence of the Illinois and Missouri rivers left three people injured when a propane tank exploded in a duck blind.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said at about 9:50 a.m., a fire was reported in a duck blind in the area of Calhoun Point, a lowland between where the Illinois and Missouri rivers meet near Pierre Marquette State Park.
First responders were able to locate the blind and rescue the man who were injured. Two men were taken by helicopter to St Louis area hospitals; a third man was also treated for his injuries. The extent of the men’s injuries was not immediately known…
