The first meeting of the month of November held on the 5th, the Village of Fairmont City Council started off with a moment of silence for the recently departed, retired police officer Mark Ostendorf, known as “Big O”. The veteran officer, who passed on October 27th, had a private ceremony with his family and loved ones that honored his legacy of public service, humor and courage.
With the absence of Treasurer Carlos Gomez, the rest of the meeting proceeded to business license and building permit applications.
