ST. LOUIS – The Northern Lights brought some rare and sensational views across the St. Louis region on Tuesday evening, as waves of green and purple illuminated the nighttime sky.
The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, occur when charged particles from the sun collide with molecules in the Earth’s atmosphere, creating waves of light that appear to dance in the sky.
