ST. LOUIS – Joe Jo’s Fish and Chicken on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive is offering more than just dinner, they’re giving families in North City a bit of relief and comfort.
The restaurant kicked off a half-off deal Wednesday for SNAP recipients: two meals at half price when customers show their SNAP card and a second form of identification.
“It affects the community real bad when a person has to go hungry, especially kids who don’t know where they’re getting their next meal from,” customer Albert Johnson said. “Their stomachs are all growling… that’s painful.”
