The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers in St. Louis have been on strike against Boeing for 100 days, and after so much back and forth, offers and denials, IAM837 is encouraging its members to accept the latest offer.
Most of the contract Boeing is offering its striking workers in St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri and Mascoutah, Illinois, remains the same: a 24% wage increase over five years, “no cost share % increase for same market-leading medical, dental and vision; free primary care clinic,” and more vacation and sick time.
But the changes that Boeing is calling “3 Big Things” include a ratification bonus of $6,000 in cash, no change in service and sick leave anniversary dates, paid holidays at a new, higher contract rate…
