Alaskan-based company to pay millions, accused of impersonating military members to boost moving business at Scott Air Force Base

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -An Alaskan transportation company has agreed to pay $3.5 million, resolving allegations it posed as government and military personnel on surveys.

The United States Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Illinois said Denali Group, Inc. violated the False Claims Act by posing as U.S. Department of War and Coast Guard members while filling out customer satisfaction surveys.

The Department of Justice said Denali participated in a program that provided moving and storage services to Department of War and Coast Guard personnel. That includes individuals and families moving to Scott Air Force Base…
