St. Louis has its first citywide transportation plan in 77 years

ST. LOUIS – On Friday, the city of St. Louis announced that for the first time since 1948, they will have a new citywide transportation plan, establishing a new foundation for how the city designs, maintains and prioritizes its streets, sidewalks, and transit infrastructure.

The city voted unanimously on Nov. 12 to approve the Transportation & Mobility Plan, a document 18 months in the making, incorporating feedback from about 4,000 residents. City officials say the plan will guide policy decisions across departments and help simplify and organize the development of future projects.
