Zillow says more than 38% of St. Louis homes have lost value

ST. LOUIS — More than a third of homes in the St. Louis metro area have lost value over the past year, and that according to new research from Zillow.

Their report shows that 38.2% of homes in St. Louis have declined in value year over year.

Despite this, only 2.8% of newlistings in St. Louis are priced below what they were previously sold for, so most homeowners aren’t selling for a loss. This is down from 7% in 2019…
