ST. LOUIS – After a summer full of tornado cleanup, Forest Park Forever is now focused on the future of the trees in Forest Park. The severe winds of May 16 toppled more than 3,000 trees within the St. Louis landmark and damaged thousands more.
But, in early November, hundreds of helpers began the process of planting trees.
“It’s going to take several years to recover from the tornado,” Frank Kartmann, Forest Park Forever Park Operations Division, said. “And it’s going to be really expensive to do that as well.”…
