Dellwood opens gaming center aimed at youth engagement

Dellwood officials have launched a new gaming room inside the Dellwood Recreation Center, describing it as part of the city’s effort to expand amenities and create spaces where young people can gather safely.

The center, called Gamers Paradise, includes six 55-inch televisions, gaming desks, LED gaming chairs, and a suite of consoles and equipment such as PlayStation 5s, Xbox Series X systems, gaming computers, monitors, controllers, headsets and a Nintendo Switch kit.

Mayor Reggie Jones said the project is intended to give young residents a modern place to socialize and learn. “Our youth deserve spaces that inspire them, keep them engaged, and give them a safe place to build friendships and learn new skills,” he said. “This gaming room is more than entertainment — it’s an investment in their future.”…
