ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Sheriff Alfred Montgomery is asking the State of Missouri to cover nearly $7,000 in transportation and security costs from the recently-completed quo warranto trial aimed at removing him from office.
According to court documents filed Monday, U.S. Marshals billed the sheriff $6,852.54 “for providing daily transport and security” during the trial.
Montgomery’s attorneys filed a “preliminary assessment of cost” motion requesting the state to pay the bill.
