Fire partially collapses commercial building in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – Crews responded to an overnight fire early Friday morning in south St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Fire Department, the fire occurred in the area Tennessee and Taft Avenues in the city’s Dutchtown neighborhood.

Officials say the fire happened to a commercial building and partially collapsed. Crews have previously responded to fires at the building in the past. Neighbors report that unhoused people often stay inside the building seeking shelter.
