Rapid response rescues trapped St. Louis firefighter

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis firefighter issued a “Mayday” Thursday morning after a roof collapsed on top of him while crews were battling a fire on Iowa Avenue.

Trapped beneath several feet of debris, the firefighter radioed that he was pinned and running out of air as rescuers worked to reach him.
