Suspect killed, 2 injured after pursuit ends in crash in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — A suspect was killed and two others were injured late Sunday night after a pursuit that ended in a crash in north St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Burd Avenue on the edge of the city’s Wells-Goodfellow and Hamilton Heights neighborhoods. It involved a white Ford Crown Victoria.

The pursuit began after an officer with the North County Cooperative was nearly struck by the Ford after the vehicle ran a red light near Lucas and Hunt Road and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.
