ST. LOUIS — Missouri Senators Karla May and Steven Roberts is set to host a townhall meeting Tuesday to discuss the city police department moving back to state control.
According to a press release, the meeting will take place at 6 p.m. inside the Henry Givens Jr. Administration Building at Harris Stowe State University. The meeting will feature all five appointees to the new commission.
The St. Louis Police Board was formed after Missouri lawmakers approved the return of control of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) to the state in March. Governor Kehoe appointed the board members in June.
