Judy Garland’s famous ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’ Red Dress, white coat on display at Missouri History Museum

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – One of the most famous dresses in movie history has found a new home in St. Louis.

The red velvet dress worn by Judy Garland in the 1944 film Meet Me in St. Louis, has been donated to the Missouri Historical Society. The red dress is currently on display inside the “1904 World’s Fair” exhibit, since Meet Me in St. Louis has linked the fair to St. Louis’ identity for audiences around the world.

The outfit was donated by Mary Strauss, the collector who donated one of the largest Josephine Baker collections in the world…
