The man accused of shooting a Granite City Police officer last week will remain behind bars until his trial. On Thursday, a Madison County Judge denied pre-trial release for 26-year-old D.J. Marshall, who is facing multiple charges including attempted first-degree murder of a police officer. Officer Tyler Timmons remains hospitalized but is expected to recover.
