ST. LOUIS — Metro Transit is planning to replace its entire MetroLink light rail fleet, with the first new trains expected to arrive in St. Louis in 2027.
The agency is working with Siemens to design 55 new light rail vehicles that will replace cars that have been in service since MetroLink opened in 1993. The project is now in the design review phase, with the trains to be built at Siemens’ facility in Sacramento, California…
