Many in Missouri Googling Ways to Leave St. Louis, Data Shows

We live in a modern age where most decisions are made after an internet search happens. If that’s the case, prepare for a surge of people in Missouri who are looking for ways to leave the St. Louis area.

There’s an interesting recent study just shared by Move Buddha regarding moving trends in America. While the focus is on which states have the most residents looking to move in versus those that plan to move out, they also have a breakdown of cities. What they learned about St. Louis is interesting. The cities in red are the metros that have more people researching moving out compared to moving in.

Note that this doesn’t show people that have actually loaded up a moving truck and left, but just those who have done internet searches about it. For St. Louis, Missouri, the search data shows that a majority of people are looking for ways to leave versus those who want to move there. My inquiring mind would love to know among those searches how many live in the city of St. Louis compared to the St. Louis suburbs. If you’re familiar with the St. Louis area, you know that makes a big difference. I’d bet my bottom dollar that there are many more people researching how to move to the St. Louis suburbs while many in St. Louis city would love to find a way out. That’s a very believable conclusion…
