CLAYTON, Mo. – Prosecutors charged a Spanish Lake man this week for an armed carjacking earlier this year, in which the suspect attempted to steal a vehicle with a toddler in the backseat.
According to a probable cause statement from the St. Louis County Police Department, the carjacking occurred around 5:40 p.m. on Feb. 7, at the QT gas station on Lusher Road, just off Lewis and Clark Boulevard in Spanish Lake.
Police said the victim stopped at the gas station to put air in the tire of her 2014 Jeep Cherokee. She kept a Taurus .22 caliber pistol in the driver’s side door…
