ST. LOUIS – After a warm Christmas and several mild days, big weather changes are in store for Sunday. St. Louis is in for some considerably colder temperatures and even some severe weather risks to finish the weekend.
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a low-end severe weather risk (A Level 1 out of 5) with a fast-moving storm system anticipated in the St. Louis region on Sunday afternoon.
From 1-6 p.m. Sunday, much of the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area can expect fast-moving strong or severe storms.
The main threat will be a few wind gusts up to 60 mph, which could prompt some thunderstorms and severe weather warnings. There is also a low-end risk for a couple of weak tornadoes, somewhat similar to the situation we had one week before Christmas…
