Former St. Louis alderman dies

ST. LOUIS — Former St. Louis Alderman Jim Sondermann died Dec. 24 at age 69. An obituary didn’t give a cause of death.

Sondermann served as Ward 23 alderman from the 1995-96 Board of Aldermen session to the 2001-02 session, according to city information. He then went to work for Mayor Francis Slay, acting as liaison to the board. Then Sondermann moved to a position in the city’s water department.
