ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – SSM Health and UnitedHealthcare have signed a letter of agreement on a new contract.
Earlier this month, First Alert 4 reported that the contract negotiations between the two companies had stalled. As a result, patients who used both SSM Health doctors and United Healthcare insurance would have to find new doctors or pay higher out-of-network costs if an agreement wasn’t reached before the New Year.
Hours before the deadline, SSM Health announced that a letter of agreement had been signed, ensuring patients could continue to use SSM Health doctors with UnitedHealthcare insurance.
