Homicide vigil honors victims as St. Louis sees lowest murder rate in over a decade

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Families gathered Wednesday for the annual vigil to honor homicide victims in St. Louis City and County, remembering loved ones lost to violence while acknowledging a decline in murders across the region.

Angelo Davis’ family was among those attending the vigil. The 18-year-old was killed in October and his family is still grieving more than two months later.

“My son, he was very outgoing, still was in school working at the same time,” said Jabowa Barnes, Davis’ mother. “Very energetic, loving, good personality, outgoing, didn’t mess around.”…
