ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Nearly eight months after a devastating EF-3 tornado ripped through the heart of St. Louis, those who lost their homes are looking to the future.
Early estimates from the City of St. Louis indicated more than 5,000 buildings were damaged in the storm. Many of those buildings included generational homes for families living on the city’s north side for decades.
“Early on, we were eager to make the repairs and rebuild,” said Gale Davis, who lived on Labadie Avenue in The Greater Ville neighborhood. “But now, I don’t think it’s going to be repaired, the house, I think my sister has given up.”…
