Worker rescued after falling into trench of wet cement in St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A worker was rescued after falling into a trench full of wet cement in Mehlville on Friday.

The Mehlville Fire Department confirmed to First Alert 4 that a person fell 20 feet into a trench in the 9400 block of Sappington Road before noon.

According to the fire department, the victim was injured at the bottom of the trench, and coworkers helped to stabilize him while rescue crews used a piece of equipment to lift him out of the hole. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries…
