ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The owner of Prioritized Pastries, a vegan, gluten-free and nut-free bakery in Maplewood, said Friday it will be closing its storefront this month but left open a possible future for the business.
The bakery, at 2719 Sutton Blvd., must be out of its space by month end after its lease wasn’t renewed, according to a Friday evening social media post by owner and pastry chef Alex Feick. Prioritized Pastries, which since September has been “temporarily” only open for scheduled pickups of online orders, will be open to the public for select days this month prior to closing, according to its Facebook page.
“Those on the inside or closest to me know that I have done everything in my power to make this bakery work. It didn’t work,” Feick wrote Friday in a Facebook post. “I got the news on Dec 30th that our lease here will not be renewed.”…
