DEA St. Louis reports fentanyl shift as overdose deaths fall

ST. LOUIS – The Drug Enforcement Administration’s St. Louis Field Division says it is noticing a change in the drug supply and a drop in overdose deaths in Missouri.

DEA St. Louis spent 2025 going after cartels in what is called the “Sinaloa Crackdown.”

“We’ve definitely been taking the fight to the cartels,” said Michael Davis, special agent in charge of the DEA’s St. Louis Field Division. “Believe it or not, we’ve been working these cases in St. Louis and throughout Missouri.”…
