New Madrid Co. deputy arrested, accused of hindering prosecution in St. Louis homicide case

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – A New Madrid County Sheriff’s deputy is in custody and on administrative leave related to her alleged actions in a St. Louis homicide case.

Lakesha Miller, 49, was formally charged with felony hindering the prosecution of a felony.

New Madrid County Sheriff Joey Higgerson said he put Deputy Lakesha Miller on paid leave Thursday afternoon, January 8, and Butler County authorities took her into custody a short time later…
