Multiple monkeys on the loose in St. Louis, health officials say

Multiple monkeys are on the loose in St. Louis, Missouri, according to city health officials, who are advising residents to “not approach” the wild animals.

As of Saturday, Jan. 10, an unknown number of monkeys remain at large “around the vicinity of O’Fallon Park in North City,” located in North St. Louis, Justen Hauser, the city’s environmental health services bureau chief, said in a news release.

Original reports indicated there were four monkeys, but officials “cannot confirm an actual number at this time, only that there is more than one,” according to Hauser. Further reports have suggested that the animals are still in the vicinity of the O’Fallon Park neighborhood, he added…
