ST. LOUIS — Developers announced plans for a $3 billion mixed-use technology district centered around the Armory building on Friday, a shift from a previous data center proposal met with opposition from some city leaders and community members.
The Armory Innovation District will be home to a data center and include redevelopment of the Armory building at 3660 Market St. into 214,500 square feet of Class A office space. The 120-megawatt data center will be built in an adjacent warehouse property at 3728 Market St., formerly owned by Macy’s.
