Missouri trooper stops wrong-way driver by crashing into them; suspect arrested in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — A Missouri state trooper stopped a wrong-way driver on a St. Louis highway by intentionally crashing his car into the oncoming vehicle Thursday afternoon.

Sgt. Dallas Thompson with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 1 p.m. on Interstate 70 near Branch Street.

Thompson said a trooper intentionally struck the wrong-way driver to stop them from continuing in the wrong direction…
