Former St. Louis alderman convicted of wire fraud, lying to FBI

ST. LOUIS – Former St. Louis Alderman Brandon Bosley was found guilty Friday of five federal charges in a high-profile bribery and insurance fraud case.

Jurors convicted Bosley of four counts of wire fraud and one count of making false statements to the FBI.

The case centers around an insurance claim involving Bosley’s Toyota Prius. A driver struck the Prius in September 2021 while it was parked outside of Bosley’s office. Investigators say Bosley attempted to bribe the man who sold him the Prius to inflate repair estimates so the vehicle could be declared a total loss…
