$100,000 meant for sick pets in St. Louis spent on Gucci and Netflix, Missouri AG says

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis man who donated $2,000 to what he thought was a legitimate pet rescue organization discovered his money went toward luxury purchases instead of helping animals in need.

Charles Hackmann said he saw a Facebook post from “Saving St Louis Pets” asking for donations to rescue and treat animals. The post said animals needed medical care and were dying, requesting $2,000 to be raised that day.

“I noticed a post that someone shared basically saying there are animals in need, they need medical care, they’re dying, we need to raise $2000 today,” Hackmann said…
