ST. LOUIS – As declining temperatures persist, the City of St. Louis announced on Friday that it plans to extend its Code Blue level 4 activation.
The protocols initially were supposed to end on Friday, but the National Weather Service’s (NWS) forecast has shifted those plans. According to the NWS’s forecast, the St. Louis area can expect arctic air that will bring temperatures as low as 4 degrees Saturday night.
For those in need of a warm place to stay, St. Louis’ Code Blue activation will continue through Monday morning. City leaders say that over 600 emergency shelter beds have been made available, and capacity has not exceeded during the Level 4 activation…
