Boarding house resident faces charges for box cutter assault

ST. LOUIS – A woman slashed a man with a box cutter last week as he attempted to break up an argument at a boarding house.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the incident occurred Friday, Jan. 30, in the 5300 block of Ridge Drive, located in the Hamilton Heights.

Police said the victim left his room at the boarding house to break up an argument between two other residents. One of those individuals, Lakendra D. Williams, 49, produced a box cutter and began swinging it at the victim.
